Eastern Conference leaders the Celtics suffered a humiliating defeat against the Thunder (117-150), one of the bottom four teams in the West.
After the game Jaylen Brown talked about led to the defeat, saying that Boston had a loss like that coming because they were not giving their best effort for the last couple of games.
“We got our ass kicked. That’s what happened,” said Brown, who scored team-high 29 points in this game. “You come out, you take it for grated, that’s what happens. We probably had it coming to us. Came out last couple of games, we pick and choose when we want to play.
“We wasn’t connected, didn’t have each other’s back out there. No help side defense, we didn’t guard our yard. Those young boys over there came out and they made us look bad, they embarrassed us.”
