Allen Iverson and Larry Brown’s beef was so thick even a finals berth couldn’t cut through it

If you merely glance at Larry Brown and Allen Iverson’s relationship, you see they got to the finals in ’01 and say “that’s nice” and move along. But if you peel back the packaging, you see that for six long seasons they suffered each other.

They had fundamental differences in many categories, from how to run an offense, to how much to party in Miami (Brown: none. Allen: as much as he wants who cares if there’s a game tomorrow).

The fact that they got to the finals despite their feuding is remarkable and makes you wonder what could have happened if they had gotten along. …and to avoid ending on a sad note, lemme just say, they’re friends now! (the video will explain):
