Luka Doncic earned in his 16th technical foul of the season in a game against the Trail Blazers and was facing suspension for the season finale against the Spurs.
However, the NBA rescinded the foul making the Slovenian available for the final regular season game. In hindsight, it might have been better if the Mavericks superstar sat out the San Antonio game because it led to an injury.
Tim MacMahon reports that Doncic’s MRI confirmed a calf strain. Dallas is not yet ready to make any determination on his availability for Saturday’s Game 1 against the Jazz.
Doncic averaged 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.7 assists in 35.4 minutes over 65 regular season games.
