Los Angeles Clippers faced the Golden State Warriors, getting a remarkable win over Steph Curry and co. The Clippers constantly blitzed Steph Curry during the game and let his teammates decide in offense.

Ty Lue spoke on his strategy facing Curry through the years and he admitted he preffered trapping the Warriors’ superstar guard over Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson during the 2017 and 2018 NBA Finals.

Per Tomer Azarly of clutchpoints:

“He’s so dangerous, probably the most dangerous player in the league the way he can get hot… In 2017 and 2018m we blitzed him with Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson on the floor. That’s how dangerous I think he is,” Lue said.

Despite his pretty straightforward gameplan, Curry scored 33 points, but the rest of the Warriors did not follow him, while defense collapsed. The Warriors allowed Los Angeles to shoot 56 percent from the field and 44 percent from deep.
