Eleven and a half years ago, LeBron James shook the NBA by announcing that he is joining the Miami Heat after seven seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Not only did he change teams but he also teamed up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to form a super team. Led by the Big 3, the Heat reached four straight NBA Finals and won two championships.

According to Iman Shumpert, who was LeBron’s teammate during his second spell with the Cavaliers, it was bad for basketball when James went to Miami, because it sent a message that loyalty means nothing.

“Me personally, I love the NBA for the loyalty that I thought was there. [LeBron] basically knocked the fourth wall down, like, man the owners ain’t sh*t, they bullsh*tting, we doing what we want,” the 2016 NBA champion said on The Bootleg Kev Podcast.

“Great business move for sure but when you think about it outside looking in, I got people tweeting me right now they, like, literally talking about owners and trades. It’s like ‘Bro y’all not supposed to be talking about none of this actually.’ Y’all supposed to be going like super crazy.

“If you’re a businessman and you’re sitting outside looking at, you’re like ‘The fans are supposed to worried about the games, they’re supposed to talking like they used to be. We used to just site there and talk sh*t.”
