Kemba Walker goes for 29 points in first game with Knicks since November 26

Kemba Walker was unstoppable on Saturday, in his first appearance in the New York Knicks uniform since November 26.

Walker went for a game-high 29 points, on 8/20 shooting and 5/11 from beyond the arc. The All-Star guard spent 38 minutes on the floor, yet New York lost to the Boston Celtics (107-114). The veteran guard scored 17 points in the third quarter, helping his team come back from 15 down.

Kemba Walker was out of Knicks’ rotation for a few weeks, following a decision by head coach Tim Thibodeau. However, with the Knicks dealing with several issues, he returned to the roster Saturday. During his postgame availability, he made it clear he deserves to be in the lineup.

Even though Thibodeau praised Walker for his performance, it is unclear if he will remain with the team, once the Knicks are fully healthy. Since placing Kemba Walker out of the rotation, the Knicks have lost eight of their last 10. They currently are 12th in the East, at 13-17.
