Armani Milano announced on Saturday that star guard/forward Shavon Shields will remain out of action indefinitely, due to an injury.

Shields suffered the injury on Thursday, in the home loss to Real Madrid (73-75). He underwent medical tests that showed a right hand fracture.

“During the fourth period of the game played last Thursday against Real Madrid, Shavon Shields reported a fracture of the right radius with capsuloligamentous involvement.

Further specialist evaluations will be needed to determine prognosis and therapeutic strategy. However, the recovery times for a return to the activity are expected to be long,” the Italians said in a statement.

Shavon Shields has been the best player of Armani Milano so far, averaging 12.6 points, four rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. For its part, Armani is currently fourth in the EuroLeague standings, with a 10-6 record.
