Team USA rallied past Australia in the first semi-final of the Olympic Tournament (97-78) and will now play in the Gold medal game on Saturday.
Australia led by as many as 15 in the first half (26-41), but the Americans went on a 16-4 run to cut the deficit to three at halftime (42-45).
In the second half, the Americans took control and never looked back. Playing very well on both ends, Team USA outscored Australia 32-10 in the third quarter and earned a 19-point lead (74-55) to seal the deal.
Team USA will now clash with Slovenia or France in the Final of the Olympic Tournament on Saturday. For its part, Australia will play for the third place and the bronze medal, facing the loser of the France vs Slovenia game.
