Damian Lillard broke his silence on the latest trade rumors since the Blazers were knocked out in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
The Blazers’ guard voiced his desire to win, and the way he is committed to winning with the Portland Trail Blazers’ organization.
The superstar guard has a point on his latest reaction, as he did not formally complain about the state of the franchise, and of course, he did not ask a trade from the Blazers’ front office.
There was a Yahoo report that came out a few months ago about Lillard’s displeasure with the organization, but Dame didn’t have a lot to say about it.
Since then, the Blazers hired Chauncey Billups as their new head coach to replace Terry Stotts, who left after nine seasons in Portland’s bench.
The question, however, remains. Is a coaching change enough to transform this Blazers’ team to a contender? It remains to be seen as the Blazers have limited cap space to improve their roster this offseason.
