Carmelo Anthony reacts to becoming Top 10 NBA All-Time scorer

Carmelo Anthony reached a major milestone in the Portland Trail Blazers loss to the Atlanta Hawks. The 36-year-old forward finished with with 14 points, which was enough to move up on the NBA All-Time scoring list.

Melo recently passed Hakeem Olajuwon for the 11th place and now he overtook Elvin Hayes to become the Top 10 NBA All-Time scorer with 27,318 career points. The next player on the list for Anthony to pass is Moses Malone, who had 27,409 in his career.

“A couple years ago I ain’t think I was gonna be in this moment. I was out the league for whatever reason… I’m back. I persevered. I stayed strong I stayed true to myself and now I’m here in the Top 10,” Anthony said after the game.

This season, Anthony, who is a ten-time NBA All-Star, is averaging 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
