Jimmy Butler reacts to the Knicks acquiring Derrick Rose

The New York Knicks are finalizing a deal with the Detroit Pistons for veteran star Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler reacted to the news as his former coach Tom Thibodeau is bringing some familiar faces to his team.

(via Stefan Bondy of NYDN):

Butler played in two occasions under Thibodeau starting his career in the Chicago Bulls alongside Derrick Rose, who was named the league’s youngest MVP ever back in 2011.

Thibodeau was also a big reason that Butler was brought into Minnesota, and he also signed Rose and current Knicks big man Taj Gibson to the Timberwolves during his tenure there.

Both Gibson and Rose will be teammates again in New York, after the Knicks officially completed the deal with the Pistons. Rose averages 14.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game this season.
