The Cleveland Cavaliers ruled out forward Larry Nance Jr. for the next four to six weeks with a fractured finger, according to Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst.

Nance injured his finger during the Cavaliers’ loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night, and will likely need surgery. The Cavs, who are on a three-game losing streak, will miss Nance’s defensive versatility.

Nance averages 9.3 points and shooting a career-high 38.1 percent from 3-point range this season, helping his team start on 10-14 record.

The Cavaliers are also missing Kevin Love, who is recovering from a leg injury and it’s not expected to return to action soon. Nance is an important part of the Cavaliers improved defense this season as he is second in the NBA in steals with 1.9 per game.

JB Bickerstaff is expected to use Taurean Prince and Cedi Osman in Nance’s position as he will try to keep his team’s versatility in the defensive end.
