Shane Larkin helps Anadolu Efes outplay Crvena Zvezda

Shane Larkin matched his season-high 23 points and helped Anadolu Efes beat Crvena Zvezda (86-72) at Sinan Erdem Dome on Tuesday.

Looking at the stats, Anadolu Efes outplayed Zvezda in almost part of the play. And besides the loss, Crvena Zvezda was more unfortunate because Jordan Loyd was forced to leave the game in the second quarter due to a left leg injury.

So the team from Belgrade didn’t have its leading scorer available all 40 minutes against Efes. With around 11 minutes in the match, Jordan Loyd scored seven points for Zvezda.

On the other side, pivot performer Shane Larkin came off the bench and had the main role in lifting Anadolu Efes‘ record to 12-10 after Round 22 in the EuroLeague. Larkin also had 3 steals, 2 rebounds and 1 assist for an index rating of 24.

Besides Shane Larkin, who was the MVP, Vasilije Micić added 13 points for Anadolu Efes. Sertac Sanli scored 12, Rodrigue Beaubois 11, and Krunoslav Simon 10 (with 6 assists).

Ognjen Dobrić and Dejan Davidovac with 12 points each were the best scorers for the visiting squad. Duop Reath finished the match with 10 points.
