This extraordinary game not only shattered EuroLeague records but also delivered an unparalleled spectacle, with Real Madrid orchestrating thrilling comebacks to force multiple overtimes. Mario Hezonja’s buzzer-beating hook shot capped a 9-0 run in double overtime, adding to the suspense.

Tied at 81-81 at the end of the fourth quarter, the first overtime concluded with a 91-91 score, thanks to Larkin’s crucial foul shots.

Despite Efes holding a 9-point lead in the second overtime, Real Madrid staged a remarkable rally to extend the game. The drama continued in the third extra session, with Walter Tavares’s dunk forcing a fourth overtime, ultimately resulting in Real Madrid’s triumph at 130-126.

Dzanan Musa etched his name in the Real Madrid record books, scoring an all-time single-game high of 40 points in this historic victory.

“I got a story to tell,” Musa said after the game. “Mario was taping me today and he said ‘When I tape you, you will score 40.’ I swear to God.”

Hezonja contributed significantly with 31 points and 12 rebounds, while Facundo Campazzo recorded 25 points and 11 assists. Walter Tavares showcased his prowess with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

Despite the loss, Anadolu Efes’ Shane Larkin made history by becoming the first player in the EuroLeague’s 24-year existence to play over 50 minutes, precisely 53 minutes and 11 seconds.

Larkin’s impressive performance included 32 points, 9 assists and six rebounds. Among Efes’ seven players scoring in double figures, Darius Thompson contributed 21 points, while Tibor Pleiss had 14 points and 11 rebounds.
