DeMarcus Cousins should get a championship ring, according to his former teammate in the Los Angeles Lakers Danny Green.
Cousins was part of the Lakers roster before the start of the 2019/20 season, but a serious injury (torn ACL) forced him to miss the entire season. Therefore, the Lakers waived him and the veteran forward/center never played for the team.
“DeMarcus was there rehabbing all year, the only time he wasn’t with us was in the bubble. Troy (Daniels) was with us most of the year, all year, then he also did well in Denver.
The guys that have been with us on the roster and on the team, I think they all deserve an opportunity to get a ring because they were part of the team,” Green said, via Harrison Faigen of SB Nation.
Cousins, who is a free agent, is expected to be ready for the start of the 2020/21 season.
