The Chicago Bulls announced the deal with Billy Donovan and Zach LaVine’s reaction was caught on camera during a live stream.
LaVine, and the rest of the Bulls, are currently isolating at a downtown Chicago hotel in preparation for voluntary group workouts beginning Wednesday.
LaVine was streaming Call of Duty when he received the news. “Oh damn, we got Billy Donovan as our next coach. Wow. That’ll be good… Really good coach,” the Bulls’ star can be heard saying.
Donovan is coming off a successful stint with the Oklahoma City Thunder consisting of multiple playoff runs.
The Bulls haven’t made it to the NBA postseason since 2016.
