Unicaja releases head coach Aíto García Reneses

http://www.unicajabaloncesto.com/leer_no...d_not=6740

It's to bad because Reneses is a good coach but if the team doesn't play good or doesn't win enough the coach is also first to blame. We'll see what happens next. Vujosevic and Maljkovic are the names that would replace him. But like I mentioned before Maljkovic was talking with Unicaja so I expect him to be the next headcoach
I’m heard something new in the case about Mirza Begic.

Zalgiris Kaunas doesn’t want to release the player from his contract with the club and they have said that they want a compensation from the player of from the team that wants Mirza Begic.

But it will be very difficult for a team to get Mirza Begic out of his contract with Zalgiris. A couple of sources say that Zalgiris has made it clear who big the compensation must be to buy out his contract with them.

Zalgiris will ask a one million euros buy-out from the club that wants to get Mirza Begic away from Zalgiris. And if the club ,that’s interessed in Mirza Begic, doesn’t want to pay this compensation than Mirza Begic will have to pay the whole sum the buy out his contract with Zalgiris.

Last year Mirza Begic signed a three-year contract with Zalgiris. He still have one and half year of his contract left. This compesation is a lot for the player to pay it himself. And it’s very doubtful that a club will pay such money to buy out the contract of Mirza Begic.

Zalgiris has made is very clear that they will not release Mirza Begic from his contract with them and that he’ll only leave the club if a compensation( one million euros) is paid to Zalgiris.

Real Madrid is very interested in Mirza Begic because Ettore Messina is looking for another bigman who could come of the bench when his others bigmen, Ante Tomic and D’or Fischer, are in foul trouble or that they aren’t playing good enough.

The case about Mirza Begic has been on for a couple of weeks now and it looks like the end isn’t in sight yet.

Mirza Begic wants to leave Zalgiris and go to another club but he should have done it by another way. If it’s true that Zalgiris hasn’t paid him and he has a better offer from a better club( in the eyes of Mirza Begic) then he could leave to club with out paying a compensation.

But Zalgiris said that they have paid him correctly and he wants to leave because his managers have better offers from other clubs. It’s a very sad case for both Zalgiris as Mirza Begic.

Zalgiris is getting a bad image through Mirza Begic and that is not good for Zalgiris. They have had other problems since Mirza Begic left. Darius Salenga was tested positive on drugs and was suspended. Hopefully for Zalgiris all the bad will come to an end.

It’s bad for Mirza Begic because the compensation that Zalgiris is very high for a player like him. He isn’t a bad player but the price is too much. He can’t pay it himself and he hopes that a club who is interested in him will pay it. Because like I said before, the price that Zalgiris is asking for the buy-out of his contract is too much, no team will pay this kind of money.

Mirza Begic will have to hope that a club will pay it, even it’s one million euros. If no club is going to pay it then Mirza Begic will have to prove that Zalgiris didn’t paid him right. If he can’t prove it than Mirza Begic will have pay it himself( but he can’t and he won’t). Otherwise he has to sit out this season or go back and play for Zalgiris( but this is high unlikely). In the meantime he will have to wait and hope that Zalgiris will let the compensation go down so that the interested clubs will pay it. Maybe this will happen next season when Mirza Begin only has one year left on his contract.

I doubt dule will go to another club/ country where he can't speak the language and unicaja should not entertain any such thoughts and learn from what happened in CSKA.

as for Begic the way I see it is that if he was paid normally and opted to force Zalgiris to just let him go after all the trust and effort they showed in him, then he should just sit out of basketball for a year and half and let this become a lesson to him that he should not toy around with people that treat you right.

If Zalgiris was not consistent towards the player then Begic has nothing to worry about.

In any case there are two things i rule out: a club paying 1mil for Begic and Begic playing for Zalgiris again.

Romanov made it very clear that he won't let Begic go for less than one million. Begic will not return to Zalgiris I think and Zalgiris will play it hard and are prepared to let hem sit out the rest of his contract without playing one single game. It would be very sad for Begic not to play because it stops his development. Maybe Real Madrid will increase their offer but I'll doubt that because they already have spend one million euros on Carlos Suarez buy-out and they're not prepared to do that again

Rumors that instead of Vujanic, Rasic (trabzonspor) or Avdalovic (Cholet) could be possible substitutions.

Real Madrid signs Mirza Begic

http://www.euroleague.net/euroleaguenews...irza-begic
It will be very interested to how Begic will play at Real Madrid. Messina wanted him really bad so I'm thinking that he will be used a lot. Hopefuly for Begic, he'll adjust very quick to his new team and he'll play good for them. I'm hearing that Real Madrid will have paid around one million euros for his buy-out? So he'll have to prove that he's a good player and that Real Madrid didn't waste their money.
I've a question: If a team( par Example Real Madrid) gets a new player next week, could he be registered to play in the Euroleague or isn't it possible?

Thanks for answering you guys.

About Begic: Romanov first asked 600.000 euros plus Ante Tomic in return for Begic. Real Madrid refused the offer. They offered 600.000 euros and Romanov accepted the offer. That's still a lot of money and hopefully he'll prove that Real Madrid didn't waste money on him. He can be good for them but he'll need time to adjust
