Wild rumour:
Žalgiris interested in JasikeviÄius.

That's what I was talking about with my friends. It would be a great move for Žalgiris imo. Yes, Šaras is old but he would be a clear starter in Kaunas plus it's his hometown. Moreover, he isn't going to retire next summer as he wants to sign a two-year contract. Romanov clearly prefers young players and wants to build for the future. I think he hopes Kaunas to get to host EL Final Four in a couple of years and wants Žalgiris to be at its best then.
That site isn't reliable but such move isn't totally impossible for sure.

Another thing that Å aras mentioned in a couple of interviews that he would like to play in Žalgiris (to finish his career I suppose). But I still don't see it happening unless Romanov is ready to pay good money + his girlfriend. On other hand, Calathis looks good in Greek NT, PAO might be ready to end story with JasikeviÄius. Than Žalgiris chances would be higher - if there rumours are real.

Saras needs to get realistic. He can either get 700K from PAO or about 600K from Zalgiris.

Well salaries are being cut all over Europe, so he might have to get used to it.
His Greek gf might also have a lot of gravity over the situation as well, with her being pregnant by him <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/baby.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

And as Tepic said in an interview he will be playing PG too next season in PAO. So Diamantides, Tepic, Calathes and Verginis at "1" isn't bad at all...
Respect and thanks for everything:
Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

TepiÄ is a question for me. When he played in Belgrad, Serbs was calling him one of the best shooting guards in Europe. As I see things, he's only decent shooter at the best scenario (average if compered with greats - Navarro, Macijauskas). Then when he came to PAO, he was used at 3 and maybe 2 for some minutes and he hasn't find him self all season long if you would ask me. He's still young and he will say his word, but he's not a big leader as Serbs were talking, he is all- rounded, hardworking players, IMO lacking exceptional kills for being so special as Serbs expect. And I really would choose Calathis instead of TepiÄ for PG. Calathis is natural born PG, what you can't say about TepiÄ.

Tepic is a shooting guard that can't shoot. He's not a point guard and he's not a small forward. He's clearly a shooting guard and he has to develop his outside shot.
Calathes is a point guard, but he is clearly a scoring point guard. He is a score first point guard without any question. He is basically the same player as Saras, except much faster and quicker, much better on defense, and a much worse shooter. But the same playing style.
So yes, natural point guard, but a score first/shoot first point guard.

YEAH SURE! Calathes is a reliable 25 mins pg you can rely on, and Tepic can do a lot more than Saras if needed.
R U KIDDING ME? As bad as Oly needs a SF PAO needs guards. Come on I'm not the only one who sees that!
1 (!!) quality guard and 3 mediocre back ups can't do it.

Nothing new. He has an offer of 700k euros for one season from PAO and Maccabi and maybe Zalgiris would also offer him contracts, but for less than that.
Saras on the other hand wants 1 million euros each season guaranteed for the next two years. I guess he is either a little delusional about his current level (holding on too long to past glory as great players that are nearing the end usually do), and/or his pregnant girlfriend is demanding he get a lot of money.

Who told you that?
If you ask me, Tepic has all the things that he need to have for basketball, except 3pt shoot. Zeljko simple dont know how to use it, he should ask Vujosevic how to do it <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
You ll see Tepic possibilities in national team...

Maroussi started to make roster moves (with the new managers finally coming in) and they started off by re-signing Marios Batis and signing Mamoutou Diarra. They are also said to be close to finalizing a deal with Manolis Papamakarios.

Maroussi signed Dewarick Spencer, Sotirios Karapostoulo, and Zisis Sarakopoulos. They also re-signed Billy Keys. From what I hear they are also trying to work out loans for Michalis Pelekanos and Andreas Glyniadakis.

what about Saras? seems very weird he hadn't signed yet, sounds like he's pushing his luck with pana, and Maccabi
won't stand in the corner for long, when they'll sign a SG they won't need him anymore...
