Žalgiris is going to have a heck of a team. Seriously. And they are about to get more strong players.
Unfortunately they don't have a coach... which could normally do his job I mean...

Isn't Zouros still the coach of Zalgiris?
I think Weems will be a fan favorite because of his high flying dunks

He is but I think Straight Forward considers him as a puppet of Romanov.

Thanks for the info Sagenas. I hope Zouros will do his own thing and make his own decision. If Romanov want to make Zalgiris a better team he shoudn't involve with the job of the coaching staff

Lawson, Kalnietis, Delininkaitis, Popovic, Collins. What is Zalgiris going to do with all of these highly paid guards? That's too many at a high caliber and I could see issues over playing time hurting the team. Somebody needs to go.

When end up lock-out Lawson will go <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/baby.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> But how they can't reach deal Lawson will be probably all season <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Right, but based on how talented Lawson is Zalgiris should want to keep him for as long as possible. Lawson and Kalnietis are, in my opinion, the top two players. Delininkaitis would probably be fine with a bench role so long as it is truly a role. How will Collins and Popovic react?
If it doesn't work out Zaliris has "friends" in Vilnius who would gladly welcome Delininkaitis back home <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

I think Zalgiris has a lot better roster than Rytas does. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I hope they win this year's championship just because of Zouros!
By the way, straight forward, Zouros is a very good coach for that level, trust me! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Zalgiris has a pretty strong front line but if they sign Kaman too, they'll be very lucky!!! He's a center that does everything a center can do(in both ends) and he does most of them very good!!! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I don't think I have to comment on team's PG's! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> They are full in this position. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
In the other three positions, Zalgiris has a very good player for each position!
The other guys will probably be role players or 'I don't need them' players! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rofl3.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
This year's Rytas VS Zalgiris games will be very interested!!! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Zalgiris is loaded. I expect them to do very well in Euroleague this season. Lawson is one of the best NBA signings to date. A highly underrated move.

Žalgiris has a hell of a roster, specially if they will also add Jonas MaÄiulis who also would help to fill pretty average PF position. This team should think about top 8, IMO.
Žalgiris will be huge favourite against Rytas this year, but hopefully we'll see a fight.

I agree with the status quo. Maciulis and Kaman would be great additions but they are going to be strong even if these signings do not materialize. The only thing preventing me from from making a truly bold prediction is the NBA situation and the wild card that players like Kobe, Durant, Dirk. etc. Could have on the Euroleague. When do rosters need to be finalized for players to be eligible for Euroleague.
Rytas better open their wallets if they want to compete with Zalgiris.

Kemzura got some additional credit in my eyes while not agreeing to be Romanov's puppy. On other hand, after that it's obvious Romanov still goes with his "stuff", so Žalgiris is fucked. Sad bad true.

Lithuanian keyboard hooligans found a new target on twitter, Ty Lawson this time. At least we had some laughs.

He uses too much of Twitter. He still doesn't know what kind of war he's on. These Lithuanian keyboard hooligans will kill him if he won't shut that thing off <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
I know it takes time to adjust to European ball, but he must start playing.
