Center of Vojvodina Srbijagas Vladimir Golubovic (212-C-86) is close to make a deal with Crvena Zvezda. He has contract with Vojvodina until summer 2008 and naturally Tulips will try to sell them before that period. Golubovic is currently on the practices in USA for the NBA draft in NY. It is still not known will Golubovic's name show up on NBA draft or he will cancel his application. Golubovic played 21 games in total in A1 and Superleague and averaged 6.4 ppg and 4.4 rpg.

Quote:Vojvodina made an agreement with former Arizona university star Hassan Adams. Team from Novi Sad has four more rounds in Adriatic league to avoid relegation and hopes that famous Wildcat can turn things around alongside experienced coach Vlade Djurovic.

Hassan Adams played for Arizona (NCAA) from 2002 to 2006, then he was drafted by New Jersey Nets in second round as 54th pick. After getting little playing time in New Jersey Adams played in Italy for Novara and Teramo. He started the current season in Toronto Raptors, before being traded to LA Clippers in January 2009 and then released

Also Jovo Stanojevic made an agreement till the end of the season.

He was born at Novi Sad and Vojvodina was his first club. This team with him and Cumings should be a good 1 but I don't think there will be enough time for their best playing

Quote:Olimpija Ljubljana announced on its official website the release of American player Franklin Robinson. Ljubljana decided to waive Robinson both to save money till the end of the seson and to try the real consistency of youngster Jaka Klobu?ar.

Robinson's next destination should be Ludwigsburg in Germany. As regard Ljuljana, the team is looking now for a shooting guard that can be close to be inked.

Didn't know about him, but those numbers sure look good and with his height he'll be a good signing. Knowing Železnik's work with young players, it'll be a good choice.

Olimpija will reduce their budget. They were team with the lowest budget in EL last year (aproximatelly 2.5 M € for players), now they will reduce it even more (to about 1.5 M €). That put under uncertancy Vladimir Golubović, Mirza Begić, Vlado Ilievski and Jasmi Hukić, since only their amount of salary is somwhere around 1.5 M. They will try to "get rid of" Begić and Ilievski and sign new center and point guard.

DuÅ¡an Đorđević is first reinforcment, he's coming from Bosna and will be backup PG (first PG Ilevski or someone new). They will need also a SG (some names from Italia are in the game), a PF (Zupan and Maravič are FAs, and neither is good enough to be first PF) and maybe a C if Begić/Golubović will be sold. But the problem is money... We can't expect from Olimpija to contend for secound round of EL and FF in ABA next year.

Coach Zdovc will probably stay despite he's very critical of managment board which doesn't want to hire a sport director (GM). Too many interest of different gropus in managment and someone would loose his influence in such case . word of Zdovc himself. Very sad for a team with low budget which would need extreamely good managment to compete...

It's good to see you posting again Thup Majority of the clubs in Europe will have lower budgets next season. As a result of that we might see some new talents coming as they get top class basketball experience. Though the results will suffer.
