Havent heard anything since summer. He is a very rough talent. i think he plays in the junior departments of panathinaikos
I think Fasengas never signed for Panathinaikos because he had a fake passport.

Quote: Second Thoughts: In awe of Dimitris

DOr Fischer - Real MadridIf you didn't see Thursday's thrilller between Panthinaikos Athens and Union Olimpija Ljubljana yet, at least from the 38th minutes, go out of your way to locate it. Don't dare to miss one of the most amazing clutch individual performances in the history of European basketball - and I say that without exaggeration. In a span of no more than 5 minutes the Greek powerhouse scored 30 points to turn an eight-point deficit into an overtime win. It was the second time this season that these two teams went to overtime, which happens as often as, well...CSKA misses the Top16. The true hero of those minutes is the living legend Dimitris Diamantidis, who is arguably the best player to call when in emergency - and certainly after Thursday. Diamantidis excels when there's a need. If his team plays well and leads safely, he'll focus on organizing the game, and playing his one-fo-a-kind defense. But when the Greens were down 60-68 with 2:37 to play, it was emergency scoring time. His coach, Zeljko Obradovic, called a timeout and from the outcome, it seems that all he said was: "Dima, take over." Up to that point, Diamantidis had only 3 points, 1 rebound and 5 assists. He finished the game with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 11 assists, but those are just figures. He scored his team's last 13 points in just 74 seconds to force the overtime, including a put-back of Mike Batiste's miss to tie the game on the buzzer and send it to overtime. He started OT with 3 assists that were enough to put the Greens up 90-82, ending the emergency. He did nothing from then to the finish, but of course, there was no need anymore. "Sometimes, I have no words to describe his role and contribution to our game," Batiste said afterward. "He is always here to show the way to all of us." Amazingly, Diamantidis was responsible for ALL of his team's 30 points between 60-68 and 90-82, by either scoring or dishing the assists for every basket, 13 points and 6 assists, 5 of the latter on three-point shots.

Yarone Arbel
Will they go and search for a new bigman now that Maric is out for at least to months?
Nothing good enough in the market... so far anyway...
I have heard the rumor that Ramūnas Šiškauskas may leave CSKA and that Panathinaikos is interessed in bringing him back.

Black Urum do you know more about this?

And how is it with Maric? Is he recovering well?
PAO is not interested in Siska. Especially after the way he left...

Maric will be back in April, most likely.
So, according to the EL rules, it is most likely to have this top16 group:

Pao, Partizan, Fener, Unicaja...

Any thoughts?

I think that Partizan and Pao will go to top8, if Partizan doens't mess the plans of Pao to much. If that happens, we will just send you entire rooster for the next season and Pao will try again <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />
Partizan gives me headache...

But if we can make a conspiracy and throw our Unicaja and Fener, let's do it <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />
It is important that the last match to be played is Pao-Partizan so we can all make some calculations <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

I think that Pao will storm through this group, Unicaja, will be the last team and Fener will have some trouble beating Partizan in Pionir... We will see when the topic about this group is open...

other groups (most likely):

Maccabi, Olimpija, Barcelona & Lotomatika

Olimpiakos, Kaja Laboral, Efes Pilsen & Lietuvos Rytas

Montepaski, Real Madrid, Žalgiris & Valensija.

I copied, so maybe something isn't spelled correctly.
I think Partizan-PAO would be ideal for 6th week...

In a 22.500 packed arena... PAO will have a meltdown... Obradovic will become purple and swear at his assistant (there was a Serbian video showing him do that at Partizan arena once, but I don't know Serbian so I could find it on youtube)... and everyone will be happy.
Or that of course <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />

3 matches in Arena is great for Partizan!
Black Urum what's your opinion about Maric so far? What are the expectation about him? Is Obradovic satisfaced with him or not?
He was satisfied with him until he got injured. He gives instant energy boost both in offense and defense when he comes in the game.
I like Maric a lot. he's a good player, coach Dule made a good player out of him and now he has one of the best( maybe) the best coach in Europe in Obradovic. He'll make Maric even better and make him one of the best bigmen in Europe. I think he'll achieve a lot at PAO and he'll have a bright future
Black Urum I have read somewhere that PAO has interest in Mire Chatman of Besiktas. Is this true or is this bullshit?

Can you also tell in which players PAO is interessed for improving their team even more?
