Everything will depend on the offers that he gets. If he'll make more in Europe I think that Carroll will stay and play for a top team in Spain. But like you mentioned maybe he wants to go to the NBA next year. He'll probably play in the summerleague to earn a guaranteed contract. If he doesn't get a guaranteed contract, he'll return to Spain.

In an Valencia radio talk show Pesic stated he had received an offer from Malaga for next season but has turned it down. There are also rumors that he could be the new headcoach of Real Madrid next season but this wasn't mentioned in the radio show or in the article
