I didn't see that game but all other games I have seen say that opponents just can't stop him, they just foul him. Smile
20th pick. Not that bad, but I expected better. On other hand, seems like Rockets really want him and understands his position. No pressure for him with this pick at least. Let's wait and see, he might be a great steal. He could be picked way higher in earlier drafts though (I don't know if that would be better).
Rumours: Motiejunas moving to Prokom.
Good, at least he'll get a lot of playing time.

It might be false rumour though. IMO, important thing he would play in EUROLEAGUE. And another, Pačėsas is one strict mother f... Crazy It wouldn't be a problem for him to yell "go play fucking hard under these fucking boards you're fucking pussy", in Lithuanian language off course.

It's 99% true... 2 years contract with NBA out.

I don't understand why though... stupid career move IMO.
Why do you see it as a stupid career move Black Urum? He's pretty much the best big on Prokom's roster so playing time will not be an issue and Prokom plays at a competitive level.

In my opinion the only bad move he could make would be to join a bigger team where he would sit on the bench.
Crappy team in a crappy league under a crappy coach.
Black Urum wants him in Pana, that's it Biggrin

BTW, IMO - Euroleague, VTB and Polish league > Eurocup and Italian league.

And Pačė—sas is exactly what Motiejunas needs now. Some rude and straight forward person who is actually a good specialist (Prokom surprised Euroleague once and I liked how he commented and analysed Eurobasket this summer).
First two games for Prokom:

- 6 points, 10 rebounds

- 13 points, 9 rebounds.
Motiejunas in a great shape at the moment.

Euroleague: 19 points and 9 rebounds against Unics. 26 points and 9 rebounds against Siena.

VTB: 21 points and 9 rebounds against CSKA.

I didn't expect this at all from him. It's great to see him doing well. I haven't seen much of Motiejunas. Just his limited time in Zalgiris and a game or two with Benetton. Have you watched many of his games with Prokom? If so, how has he been scoring? Granted he was younger when I was watching him but he struck me as soft and took a lot of mid range shots facing the basket. Has he started to strengthened himself (physically) and added a post presence in the paint?
It helps he hasn't got any serious serious competition after Gee left.
From the beggining, I had faith in this player... and he proves me right!!!

He was awesome!!! Thup

He obviously got way tougher and improved his body. Now he's physical and athletic enough, but still saved his quickness. Yes, he improved low post game and has nice arsenal of moves and can finish with left and right hand comfortably. He still has amazing foot work so he's very effective slasher. However, he still stick too much with distance shooting and wasn't very lucky with 3 pointers so far in Euroleague. On other hand, he obviously has mechanics and quick release so I think that's should be one of his weapons, but still has to improve 3p shooting or to stick more with inside game. He also has very nice court look and passing abilities. Improved rebounding, even if still a little bit raw and a little bit too soft at defensive end.

What I like the most, it's his post game like this:

And here's highlights in Prokom:

He looks at his job pretty serious Rolleyes

And there's extended highlights of Motiejunas this season:

Another strong performance by Motiej8nas. 22 points, 10 rebounds and 30 ranking. It was seen he's still a little bit too young mentally for being a leader of Euroleague's team. However, with every game it's obvious he's special talent. If he will be able to polish some short cuts of his game, he might end up as new sensation (internationally).

Will you explain this "ranking" to me?

I'm not sure what you mean. How much ranking points per rebound, steal, assist? Maybe some search in euroleage.net would help.
