Jaylen Brown suffered a thigh contusion after a hard collision with Joel Embiid in the second half of Monday’s win vs Philadelphia.

Brown returned to the court during the first matchup against the Sixers and finished the contest with 29 points to help Boston secure the victory.

After Gordon Hayward’s ankle injury in the same game, the Celtics will need Brown and his two-way presence in the wing.

The Celtics had also point guard star Kemba Walker under minutes restriction in the first 8 games in NBA season restart. However, in the last contest, the U-Conn product stayed in the court for 34 minutes.

The Boston Celtics will face the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, August 19, for Game 2 of the first-round NBA playoff matchup.
