Jusuf Nurkic had a monster game against the Memphis Grizzlies a few hours after his grandmother passed away due to the coronavirus.

Nurkic had 22 points and 21 rebounds, helping the Portland Trail Blazers defeat the Memphis Grizzlies (122-126) and clinch their spot in the playoffs.

The Bosnian center got emotional postgame, as he talked about his late grandmother.

“I didn’t want to play. … I thought she’d want me to play. I’m glad we won and we’re in the playoffs,” Nurkic told reporters.

Nurkic and the Blazers will face the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.
