Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons voiced his determination to steer clear of another challenging season like the one just concluded.

Reflecting on the Blazers’ disappointing performance, Simons emphasized, “We don’t want to have another year like this. My sixth year is done now, going into year seven, I want to have the opportunity to win,” as reported by Sean Highkin.

Portland finished with the third-worst record in the league (21-61), which was the team’s second-worst record since 1971-72 season when the Trail Blazers suffered 64 losses.

Despite the team’s struggles, Simons demonstrated individual growth throughout the season, achieving career-high statistics.

The 24-year-old shooting guard showcased his skills on the court, averaging a career-best 22.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.

With two more years remaining on his four-year, $100 million contract, Simons is poised to continue his development and contribute to the team’s success.
