The Brooklyn Nets announced the signing of Justin Anderson as a substitute player on Saturday. The 6’5″ wing player is going through the quarantine process in Orlando, per NBC Sports.

Anderson will bring with him the 216 games he played in his first 5 NBA seasons with Dallas, Atlanta and Philadelphia.

The Nets are depleted due to coronavirus positive tests and other issues. In particular, Michael  Beasley, Spencer Dinwiddie, DeAndre Jordan, and Taurean Prince are out due to testing positive for COVID-19.

Furthermore, veteran forward Wilson Chandler has opted out for the season resume, while Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Nicolas Claxton are sidelined with injuries.

The Nets have the 7th best record in the East, being 0.5 games ahead of the 8th seeded Orlando Magic.
