CSKA Moscow big man Johannes Voigtmann is not optimistic that the EuroLeague will resume the season, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Initially, I was optimistic about this, but now I am skeptical about the possibility of continuing the Euroleague season. The situation in Europe and the world is not getting much better, in my opinion. There is still time, the Euroleague has announced its plan, so let’s see how it works out. But it will be very difficult to implement.

From the player’s position, I can say that after a month and a half outside the team it’s not so easy to get together and start playing because the connections have been lost. If we play the season, it will be rather strange. We have to wait, but I’m skeptical,” Voigtmann said, via Sportbc.

The EuroLeague will make a decision on whether to resume the season by May 24. If the league resumes play, then games will be played in July (4-26).
