The Chicago Bulls would have picked Hakeem Olajuwon over Michael Jordan if they had the top selection in the 1984 NBA Draft.
Olajuwon was drafted No.1 by the Houston Rockets, while Jordan was picked No.3 by the Bulls.
Rod Thorn, then GM of the Bulls, talked about that during the premiere of ”The Last Dance” documentary.
“Olajuwon would have been first by anybody who picked, including me,” Thorn said, via Kurt Helin of NBC Sports.
