Monta Ellis had many bright moments in his career, while he was playing for the Golden State Warriors in his seven seasons in the NBA.

Over his 12 seasons in the League, he averaged 17.8 points, 4.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals winning the Most Improved Player Award in 2007.

As for his favorite crowd, the Bay Area fans were the best he ever played for, as he said in an interview on Slam Magazine.

“I had done it numerous times even in high school. But it’s different when you do it in front of 18-20,000 people, Ellis said on a winning shot against the New Jersey Nets in 2007.

“I was in the Bay Area. When I say those were the best fans I’ve ever been a part of, those were the best fans I’ve ever been a part of. For me to hit that shot in that building in front of those fans, it was crazy. That time went crazy. From then on, they embraced me. That was my moment right there”.

The explosive scoring guard was traded by the Warriors, along with Ekpe Udoh and Kvarme Brown, to the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2011-12 season for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson.
