Serbia qualified for the last eight with a 74-59 win over Czech Republic in the day’s first game in Vendee.
This victory eliminates Great Britain regardless of the result of their game against already eliminated Croatia.
Milca Dabovic led the Serbs with 17 points as a 14-0 Serbian run in the second quarter ended hopes of a comeback from the Czechs, who were led by Michaela Zrustova’s 15 points.
Great Britain 85-79 Croatia
Great Britain signed off from Eurobasket Women with an 85-79 win over Croatia in, what turned out to be a dead rubber.
Jo Leedham put in the performance of the tournament so far with 26 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds as the Brits attacked from the off, never letting the Croats settle.
Ana Lelas had a solid outing also with 17 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the already eliminated Croatian side.
Belarus 50-58 France
France edged past Belarus in the Group’s final game as both teams already knew their fate before the match even started.
Sandrine Gruda led the winners with 18 points as the hosts, helped by foul trouble to Yelena Leuchenka topped the group, and remained undefeated in the tournament.
Katsiaryna Snytsina led the Belarussians with 16 points.
