Sato denied entry to Slovenia, could be deported to Central African Republic

According to TalkBasket sources, Fenerbahce’s guard/forward Romain Sato was denied entrance to Slovenia by the local airport customs.

According to our sources Slovenian police denied entrance after some irregularities were found regarding his passport. More specifically his passport contains stamps from countries he has never visited before while a passport number mismatch was also pointed out.

The local authorities have described the passport as “a bad fake”, and he could be even in danger of getting deported to his homeland of Central African Republic.

As expected, the incident has upset Fenerbahce officials who are looking a solution and are in contact with Turkish embassy of Ljubljana, Euroleague headquarters and Slovenian Basketball Federation, in order to get the paperwork required in order so the player plays in tomorrow’s crucial game.
