Mark Cuban was furious with the NBA officials in the wake of the Mavericks loss to the Hawks. The Mavs owner was not pleased with the decision of the referees to count Atlanta’s John Collins basket, after a goaltending call was overturned with 8.4 seconds remaining.

However, even if Dallas wins protest, the two teams might not go through with the replay of the last 8 seconds unless it affects the playoff seeding, according to Cuban, per Brad Townsend of Dallas Morning News.

Why Mark Cuban and the Mavericks are Right About Goaltending

Currently the Mavericks are 7th in the Western Conference, one win behind the Jazz and the Thunder.
