Following a 117-105 the Lakers victory over the Grizzlies, LeBron James commented on Anthony Davis’ defensive abilities.
“He [Anthony Davis] does everything. He’s able to protect the rim, guard on the post, switch on guards, put a blocked shot when guys shoot floaters and runners, he steals. He does everything defensively. That’s why he’s is defensive player of the year,” LeBron explained.
Anthony Davis’ defensive stats this year are nothing less than fantastic: 9.3 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 1.6 steals per game.
