F4 coverage: Lietuvos Rytas win NIJT

Lietuvos Rytas won the 2012 Nike International Junior Tournament after defeating Fenerbahce Ulker 88-70 at the Sinan Erdem Arena.

The Vilnius outfit fundementally were outstanding on the offensive end, hardly putting a foot wrong as they strolled to four victories out of four overall, three of them, including the title game won by double digits.

Fenerbahce put up a great fight, but ultimately, relied too much on individual talent and technically no where near Lietuvos Rytas’ level.

Edvinas Seskus led the victors with 17 points, helped by Augustinas Jankaitis’ 15. James Birsen led all scorers with 20 points for Fenerbahce.

The group games were played at the Abi Ipecki Arena, the first-placed teams contested the final.
