The head coach of the LA Lakers, Frank Vogel, spoke with reporters on Wednesday and referred to the tragic death of Kobe Bryant.

Vogel said this week was extremely emotional for the team, adding that “it is a deeply saddening time for all of us. We want to represent what Kobe was about. We’ve always wanted to make him proud.”

The Lakers are on top of the Western Conference at 36-10 and are considered the number one favorite to reach the NBA Finals.

Bryant and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in California on Sunday.
