Toronto Raptors leader, Kyle Lowry, expressed his excitement for being able to play on Christmas Day for the first time ever.

The Raptors will kick off the league’s five-game Christmas Day schedule when they host the Boston Celtics. It’s the first time the Raptors will host a game on Christmas.

“It’s gonna be cool, man,” Lowry told Josh Lewenberg of TSN. “I’m excited about that. I think it’s something special that NBA players always love to be able to do. And to be able to do it in our home building, it’s gonna be great.

You’re usually sitting around the TV, you’re with your family and your friends and everybody is watching this. Now you’re playing in it, so it’s going to be cool. It’s like a badge of honor,” he added.

The Raptors are at 21-9 this season, while Lowry has been averaging 20.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game.
