James Harden, Nikola Vucevic named Players of the Week in the NBA

Houston Rockets star James Harden and Orlando Magic big man Nikola Vucevic were named Players of the Week in the NBA for Week 4.

Harden averaged 44.8 points, 6.8 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.25 steals in the Rockets’ four games. He also averaged 16.0 fourth quarter points on 58.6% shooting for the week.

During Houston’s current seven-game winning streak, Harden is averaging 43.0 points.  According to the Elias Sports Bureau, he became the fourth player in NBA history to have averaged at least 43.0 ppg over a seven-game span in which his team went undefeated, joining Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, and Michael Jordan.

For his part, Vucevic averaged 21.7 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and 1.3 blocks, leading the Magic to a 3-0 record in the week.
