Sassari was in front by 21 points, 45-24, yet Venezia turned things around and took the lead (67-69).
Yet, Jamel Mclean made the two-pointer and the game went to overtime (69-69). In the extra period, Sassari closed the match on a 12-6 run to earn the victory and the title.
Curtis Jerrells led the winners with 19 points, whereas Jeremy Chappell had 19 points for the losing squad.
