The 15th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Austin Daye is reportedly a candidate to return to the NBA, as soon as this year.

Daye has an out clause in his contract with the Italian club Reyer Venezia that expires on June 30, according to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.

The soon-to-be 32-year-old is reportedly in talks with an NBA team and could even return to the states before the end of the season if the league’s pause on transactions gets lifted.

Daye was named 2019 Italian Finals MVP and 2020 Italian Cup MVP.

In 293 NBA games, Daye averaged 5.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, spending most of his time with the Detroit Pistons.

He also won a championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014 and hasn’t played in the NBA since 2015.
