Raul Lopez will replace Jose Manuel Calderon in the spanish national team squad for the upcoming World Championship. Calderon got injured yesterday in a friendly game against USA Team, so coach Scariolo had to choose another player to replace him.
Raul Lopez didn’t work with the team in the training camp, but anyway he surpased Rafa Martínez to be chosen as the point guard of the team, specially because he’s a pure point guard and Scariolo knows him very well, because Lopez plays for him in Khimki.
Lopez declared to be happy and sad at the same time, because of the reasons why he joined the team.
