Lithuania’s summer schedule is set

LithuaniaLithuanian national team will play ten friendly games this summer as a preparation for FIBA World Championship 2010 in Turkey. The biggest highlight will be the games against reigning World Champions Spain and Olympic Champions United States.

Only three games out of ten will be played in Lithuania. Siauliai, Panevezys and Kaunas were picked as the host cities for home games. Full schedule:

July 31: Lithuania – Finland (Siauliai, Lithuania)
August 2: Lithuania – Czech Republic (Panevezys, Lithuania)
August 6: Slovenia – Lithuania (Vitoria, Spain)
August 7: Spain – Lithuania (Vitoria, Spain)
August 13: Turkey – Lithuania (Bamberg, Germany)
August 14: Kroatija – Lithuania (Bamberg, Germany)
August 15: Germany – Lithuania (Bamberg, Germany)
August 20: Spain – Lithuania (Madrid, Spain)
August 21: USA – Lithuania (Madrid, Spain)
August 24: Lithuania – Iran (Kaunas, Lithuania)

The reserve team will play series of friendly games in Great Britain and China. The biggest name on the roster will be a sharp shooter Arvydas Macijauskas.

July 7: Great Britain – Lithuania B (Worcester, Great Britain)
July 12: CBA team (TBA) – Lithuania B (China (city TBA))
July 14: CBA team (TBA) – Lithuania B (China (city TBA))
