Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey in quarterfinals

SerbiaSlovenia defeated hosts Poland (76:60) in the second round of group F and qualified for the final phase of European championship that will be played in Katowice. Serbia and Turkey are also through to the quarterfinals, while Spain and Poland will battle for the final spot. Serbia will play in the Eurobasket quarterfinals for the first time since 2003.

Slovenia again played fluent and atractive basketball, with Erazem Lorbek leading the pace with 20 points. Samo Udrih had a good game filling in for injured Goran Dragic, while David Logan and Szymon Szewczyk scored 15 points apiece for Poland. The hosts had a good first half and trailed only by one basket, but failed to score for seven and a half minutes after the break.
