In the first game of the international Zaragoza tournament Poland showed Israel how it's done, beating them 82-67 behind a marvelous performance of Maccabi's Maciej Lampe.
Eventhough Israel started strong and was leading 19-15 after the first quarter, Poland stepped on the gas in the second period never to look back. At halftime the Poles were leading 37-34 and after 30 minutes the lead grew to 12 points resulting in an easy win at the end.
Maciej Lampe led his party with 24 points and 10 rebounds, David Logan added 21 points and Marcin Gortat came up strong with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks. For the Israelis, Lior Eliyahu had 20 points and he was followed by Yaniv Green who added 12.
