Virtus Bologna and Tenerife clinched their spot in the Final of the Basketball Champions League and will face each other for the title on Sunday (05/05).

The Italians made one of the most dominant performances in the history of the competition and decimated Brose Bamberg to reach the Final (67-50).

Virtus Bologna led from start to finish and never looked back. Virtus earned a double-digit lead in the first half and cruised to the victory, as Bamberg could not turn things around and never threatened in the second half.

The Italians played excellent defensively and held the Germans to their lowest total of the season and the lowest ever by a team in the Final Four, along with a Final Four record low of 25% in field goals.

Kevin Punter led the winners with 21 points, whereas Tyrese Rice posted 21 points for the losing squad.

Tenerife made its return to the Final of the Basketball Champions League, after rallying past Antwerp Giants in the second semi-final (70-54).

At the sold-out Sportpaleis, the hosts took an early double-digit lead, but the Spaniards went on a 19-6 run in the second quarter to close the first half in front by five (31-26).

Antwerp remained competitive until the end of the third quarter (47-42), but Tenerife closed the game on a 23-12 run to seal the deal and the qualification to the Championship Game.

Nicolas Brussino had 17 points for the winners, who will play in the Final after an one-year absence (2017). Javier Beiran and Pierre-Antoine Gillet added 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Tyler Kalinoski and Jae’Sean Tate posted 13 points apiece for the losing squad, which will now compete in the third-place game on Sunday (05/05).
