Fenerbahce made a stellar defensive performance and decimated Zalgiris Kaunas at home (76-43) in EuroLeague playoffs opener.

The Turks took over after the first quarter and never looked back. They quickly earned a double-digit advantage (38-21) and led by as many as 35 points to cruise to the victory.

Nikola Kalinic led the winners with a game-high 16 points, while Marko Guduric and Erick Green added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Marius Grigonis was the only player of the losing squad that scored in double figures (10 points).

Zalgiris Kaunas scored just 43 points and set a club low for points scored in a EuroLeague game.

Game 2 will be played in Istanbul on Thursday (18/04).
