CSKA Moscow rallied past Baskonia

CSKA Moscow earned a convincing 94-68 victory over Baskonia at home in EuroLeague playoffs opener.

The Basques remained competitive in the first half (32-35, 44-40), but the Muscovites took over after that.

They went on a 29-12 run and were in front by 21 at the end of the third quarter (73-52). Baskonia never threatened again and CSKA Moscow cruised to an easy victory.

Five players scored in double figures for the winners, with Sergio Rodriguez leading the way with 19 points and five assists.

Shavon Shields (17 points), Vincent Poirier (12 points) and Darrun Hilliard (12 points) stood out for the losing squad.

Game 2 will be played in Moscow on Thursday (18/04).
