Peristeri made the surprise and defeated Olympiacos at home (81-76), as the qualification of the “Reds” to the Greek Basket League playoffs now is in jeopardy.

Ben Bentil had a team-high 15 points for the winners, whereas Giorgos Printezis posted a game-high 17 points for the losing squad.

Peristeri improved to 15-8, whereas Olympiacos dropped to 19-3. However, a total of eight points has been deducted from the “Reds”, due to their decision to forfeit two matches against Panathinaikos (Greek Cup semi-final, Greek Basket League).

For their part, the “Greens” decimated AEK Athens on the road (72-104) and looked ready for the clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday (17/04).

DeShaun Thomas led the way for the winners, with a game-high 18 points, with Giorgos Papagiannis adding 17 points and 11 rebounds. On the other hand, Vince Hunter scored 14 points for the losing squad.

Panathinaikos improved to 22-1 and remained on top of the standings, whereas AEK Athens dropped to 17-6.
