In an interview with the ESPN, Kobe Bryant recalled his attempt to recruit Dirk Nowitzki to play for the Los Angeles Lakers.

“Dirk listen, I know you are not leaving Dallas, I get it, but I got to make this call. What do you think? and he said yes, you are right, but I am a lifer like you, we don’t leave. It’s a different philosophy,” Bryant said.
The five-time NBA Champion and Nowitzki spent their entire career playing for one franchise. The German legend will very likely retire at the end of the season.
