Per Oleksandr Proshuta, Ainars Bagatskis is in advanced with the Basketball Federation of Ukraine in order to take over the national team.
If Bagatskis, who had been in charge of several EuroLeague clubs over the past few years, agrees to a deal with Ukraine, he will return to the bench of a national team for the first time after coaching Latvia.
